Front Brake Caliper: Removal

NOTE: If caliper does not require service, it is not necessary to remove brake hose from caliper unless indicated.

Raise and support vehicle.
Remove wheel and tire assembly.
Mark caliper to ensure replacement on correct knuckle. Remove caliper locating pins. See Fig 1 .
Remove banjo bolt and discard copper washers (if necessary). Lift caliper off rotor.
Remove brake pads.
