Front Brake Caliper: Installation

NOTE: Ensure correct caliper assembly is installed onto correct knuckle. Caliper bleed screw should be on top of caliper when installed.
  1. Retract caliper piston fully in piston bore. Lubricate caliper locating pins with silicone dielectric. To install, reverse removal procedure. Replace copper washers on the brake hose. Tighten fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  2. Fill brake fluid reservoir with DOT 3 brake fluid and bleed system. See BLEEDING PROCEDURE  under BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM.
