Master Cylinder: Disassembly

  1. Remove the brake master cylinder. See MASTER CYLINDER & RESERVOIR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  2. Remove the plastic retainer. Remove the plastic hose fittings. Fig 1
  3. Push the primary piston in. Remove the valve stopper bolt. See Fig 2 .
  4. Remove the rubber bushings from the brake master cylinder. See Fig 3 .
  5. Push down on the primary piston. Remove the snap ring. See Fig 4 . Remove the primary piston.
  6. Remove the secondary piston. See Fig 5 .
