Gravity Bleeding

  1. Fill the brake master cylinder reservoir with High Performance DOT 3 Brake Fluid (C6AZ-19542-AB), or equivalent, meeting Ford specification ESA-M6C25-A.
    2. NOTE: Ensure to check the brake fluid level in the brake master cylinder reservoir often. DO NOT let it run dry.
  2. Attach a rubber drain tube to the right rear bleeder screw and submerge the free end of the tube in a container partially filled with clean brake fluid. See Figure .
  3. Loosen the bleeder screw. Leave open until clear, bubble-free brake fluid flows, and then close the bleeder screw and remove the rubber hose.
  4. Continue bleeding the rest of the system, going in order from the left rear wheel, to the right front wheel, and ending with the left front wheel. See BRAKELINE BLEEDING SEQUENCE  .
  5. Fill the brake master cylinder reservoir and install the reservoir cap. After bleeding process, if pedal feels spongy, repeat bleeding procedure.
