Pinpoint Test AJ: A Single Power Window Is Inoperative - RH

  1. AJ1 CHECK THE OPERATION FROM THE LH WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH 
    • Key in ON position.
    • Operate the RH window from the LH window control switch.
    • Does the RH window operate from the LH window control switch? 

    Yes 

    GO to  AJ12 . 

    No 

    GO to AJ2.

  2. AJ2 CHECK CIRCUIT 1506 (RD/WH) FOR GROUND 
    • Key in OFF position.
    • Disconnect: RH Window Motor C623.
    • Measure the resistance between the RH window motor C623-1, circuit 1506 (RD/WH), harness side and ground.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 

    Yes 

    GO to  AJ6.

    No 

    GO to AJ3.

  3. AJ3 CHECK CIRCUIT 313 (WH/YE) FOR GROUND 
    • Key in OFF position.
    • Disconnect: RH Window Control Switch C624.
    • Measure the resistance between the RH window control switch C624-6, circuit 313 (WH/YE), harness side and ground.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 

    Yes 

    GO to  AJ5

    No 

    GO to AJ4.

  4. AJ4 CHECK CIRCUIT 313 (WH/YE) FOR AN OPEN 
    • Disconnect: LH Window Control Switch C508a.
    • Measure the resistance between the LH window control switch C508a-3, circuit 313 (WH/YE), harness side and the RH window control switch C624-6, circuit 313 (WH/YE), harness side.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 

    Yes 

    GO to  AJ13

    No 

    REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.

  5. AJ5 CHECK CIRCUIT 1506 (RD/WH) FOR AN OPEN 
    • Measure the resistance between the RH window control switch C624-5, circuit 1506 (RD/WH), harness side and the RH window motor C623-1, circuit 1506 (RD/WH), harness side.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 

    Yes 

    INSTALL a new RH window control switch. TEST the system for normal operation.

    No 

    REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.

  6. AJ6 CHECK CIRCUIT 1506 (RD/WH) FOR A SHORT TO GROUND 
    • Disconnect: LH Window Control Switch C508a.
    • Measure the resistance between the RH window motor C623-1, circuit 1506 (RD/WH), harness side and ground.

    • Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms? 

    Yes 

    GO to AJ7 

    No 

    REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.

  7. AJ7 CHECK CIRCUIT 1505 (YE/RD) FOR GROUND 
    • Connect: LH Window Control Switch C508a.
    • Measure the resistance between the RH window motor C623-2, circuit 1505 (YE/RD), harness side and ground.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 

    Yes 

    GO to  AJ11

    No 

    GO to AJ8.

  8. AJ8 CHECK CIRCUIT 314 (TN/LB) FOR GROUND 
    • Disconnect: RH Window Control Switch C624.
    • Measure the resistance between the RH window control switch C624-1, circuit 314 (TN/LB), harness side and ground.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 

    Yes 

    GO to  AJ10

    No 

    GO to AJ9.

  9. AJ9 CHECK CIRCUIT 314 (TN/LB) FOR AN OPEN 
    • Disconnect: LH Window Control Switch C508a.
    • Measure the resistance between the LH window control switch C508a-2, circuit 314 (TN/LB), harness side and RH window control switch C624-1, circuit 314 (TN/LB), harness side.

    • Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms? 

    Yes 

    GO to  AJ13

    No 

    REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.

  10. AJ10 CHECK CIRCUIT 1505 (YE/RD) FOR AN OPEN 
    • Measure the resistance between the RH window control switch C624-2, circuit 1505 (YE/RD), harness side and the RH window motor C623-2, circuit 1505 (YE/RD), harness side.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 

    Yes 

    INSTALL a new RH window control switch. TEST the system for normal operation.

    No 

    REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.

  11. AJ11 CHECK CIRCUIT 1505 (YE/RD) FOR A SHORT TO GROUND 
    • Disconnect: LH Window Control Switch C508a.
    • Measure the resistance between the RH window motor C623-2, circuit 1505 (YE/RD), harness side and ground.

    • Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms? 

    Yes 

    INSTALL a new RH window motor. Refer to DOOR WINDOW GLASS - FRONT . TEST the system for normal operation.

    No 

    REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.

  12. AJ12 CHECK THE POWER SUPPLY TO THE RH WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH 
    • Key in OFF position.
    • Disconnect: RH Window Control Switch C624.
    • Key in ON position.
    • Measure the voltage between the RH window control switch C624-3, circuit 170 (RD/LB), harness side and ground.

    • Is the voltage greater than 10 volts? 

    Yes 

    INSTALL a new RH window control switch. TEST the system for normal operation.

    No 

    REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.

  13. AJ13 CHECK CIRCUIT 1205 (BK) FOR GROUND 
    • Disconnect: LH Window Control Switch C508a.
    • Measure the resistance between the LH window control switch C508a-1, circuit 1205 (BK), harness side and ground.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 

    Yes 

    INSTALL a new LH window control switch. TEST the system for normal operation.

    No 

    REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
