Removal (2.3L)

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Discharge A/C system, using approved refrigerant recovery/recycling equipment. See RECOVERY, EVACUATION & RECHARGING in GENERAL SERVICING PROCEDURES article in GENERAL SERVICING. Remove air cleaner outlet tube. See Figure. Remove compressor to condenser discharge line. See Fig 1. Discard "O" rings.
  2. Disconnect condenser to evaporator line from condenser. See Fig 2. Discard "O" rings. Plug open fittings. Remove radiator upper screws and tilt radiator back. See Fig 3. Removal upper radiator seal. See Fig 4. Remove condenser screws and condenser. See Fig 5.
