Compressor-To-Condenser Discharge Line: Removal

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Discharge A/C system, using approved refrigerant recovery/recycling equipment. See RECOVERY, EVACUATION & RECHARGING in GENERAL SERVICING PROCEDURES article in GENERAL SERVICING. Remove air cleaner outlet tube. Disconnect compressor manifold and tube assembly from condenser discharge line. Discard "O" ring seal
  2. Disconnect pressure cutoff switch connector. Disconnect compressor to condenser discharge line from condenser core. Discard "O" ring seal.
  3. Remove screws and tilt radiator back. It may be necessary to remove radiator from mounting saddles to provide clearance for condenser core removal. Remove screws and condenser core.
  4. Detach compressor to condenser discharge line from retaining clip. Detach compressor to condenser discharge line from retaining clip and remove compressor to condenser discharge line.
