Removal & Installation (3.0L)

Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove air cleaner outlet tube and air cleaner assembly. Drain engine cooling system. Disconnect the 3 hoses and position thermostat aside. Remove starter solenoid cable nuts and position solenoid cables aside. See Fig 1. Remove starter motor mounting bolts and starter motor. See Fig 2. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
