Front Camber And Caster Adjustment

  1. Remove the cowl top vent panel. For additional information, refer to BODY SYSTEM - EXTERIOR .
  2. Center punch the four spot welds.

  3. Loosen the nuts.

  4. CAUTION: Do not cut deeper than necessary to remove the alignment plate.

  5. Using the special tool, remove the four spot welds.
  6. Remove the nuts and the alignment plate.

  7. Prepare the shock tower and alignment plate surfaces.
    • Remove any burrs.
    • Clean and paint any exposed metal.

  8. Position the alignment plate. Loosely install the nuts.

  9. Adjust the camber and caster.
  10. Tighten the nuts.

  11. Check the alignment settings. Follow the manufacturer's instructions. Readjust the camber and caster as necessary.
  12. CAUTION: Do not drill deeper than 9.6 mm (0.37 in) into the shock tower.

  13. Drill three 3.2 mm (0.12 in) holes through the alignment plate and shock tower.
    • Clean and paint any exposed metal.
  14. Install three pop rivets.
    • Use 3.2 mm (0.12 in) diameter x 6.4 mm (0.25 in) grip range steel pop rivets.

  15. Install the cowl top vent panel. For additional information, refer to BODY SYSTEM - EXTERIOR .
