Front Camber And Caster Adjustment

- Remove the cowl top vent panel. For additional information, refer to BODY SYSTEM - EXTERIOR .
- Center punch the four spot welds.
- Loosen the nuts.
- Using the special tool, remove the four spot welds.
- Remove the nuts and the alignment plate.
- Prepare the shock tower and alignment plate surfaces.
- Remove any burrs.
- Clean and paint any exposed metal.
- Position the alignment plate. Loosely install the nuts.
- Adjust the camber and caster.
- Tighten the nuts.
- Check the alignment settings. Follow the manufacturer's instructions. Readjust the camber and caster as necessary.
- Drill three 3.2 mm (0.12 in) holes through the alignment plate and shock tower.
- Clean and paint any exposed metal.
- Install three pop rivets.
- Use 3.2 mm (0.12 in) diameter x 6.4 mm (0.25 in) grip range steel pop rivets.
- Install the cowl top vent panel. For additional information, refer to BODY SYSTEM - EXTERIOR .
CAUTION:
Do not cut deeper than necessary to remove the alignment plate.
CAUTION:
Do not drill deeper than 9.6 mm (0.37 in) into the shock tower.
