Tailgate Latch: Removal

Remove the tailgate access cover.
1. Remove the screws.
2. Remove the tailgate access cover.

Disconnect the tailgate latch release link from the tailgate latch remote control.
1. Open the tailgate latch rod retainer.
2. Disconnect the tailgate latch release link from the tailgate latch remote control.

Disconnect the tailgate support cables from the pickup bed strikers.

Remove the tailgate latch.
1. Remove the bolts.
2. Remove the tailgate latch.
  - Remove the tailgate latch release link.
