Pinpoint Test B: All Door Locks Are Inoperative

  1. B1 CHECK CIRCUIT 1523 (DG) FOR AN OPEN 
    • Disconnect: Smart Junction Box (SJB) C2280a.
    • Measure the voltage between the SJB C2280a pin 1, circuit 1523 (DG), harness side and ground.

    • Is the voltage greater than 10 volts? 
    1. Yes  : GO to B2.
    2. No  : REPAIR the circuit. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.
  2. B2 CHECK THE SJB FOR CORRECT OPERATION 
    • Disconnect all SJB connectors.
    • Check for:
      • Corrosion
      • Pushed-out pins
    • Connect all SJB connectors and make sure they seat correctly.
    • Operate the system and verify the concern is still present.
    • Is the concern still present? 
    1. Yes  : INSTALL a new SJB. REFER to MULTIFUNCTION ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULES . CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.
    2. No  : The system is operating correctly at this time. Concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.
