Pinpoint Test A: All Power Windows Are Inoperative

- A1 CHECK THE SMART JUNCTION BOX (SJB) DTCs
- Carry out the SJB on-demand self test.
- Are any DTCs recorded?
- Yes : REFER to the SJB Diagnostic Trouble Code Index .
- No : GO to A2.
- A2 CHECK THE VOLTAGE TO THE DRIVER WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH - CIRCUIT 400 (LB/BK)
- Key in OFF position.
- Disconnect: Driver Window Control Switch C504.
- Key in ON position.
- Measure the voltage between the driver window control switch C504-2, circuit 400 (LB/BK), harness side and ground.
- Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
- Yes : GO to A3.
- No : GO to A4.
- A3 CHECK THE GROUND TO THE DRIVER WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH - CIRCUIT 57 (BK)
- Key in OFF position.
- Measure the resistance between driver window control switch C504-5, circuit 57 (BK), harness side and ground.
- Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
- Yes : GO to A4.
- No : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
- A4 CHECK CIRCUIT 400 (LB/BK) FOR AN OPEN
- Key in OFF position.
- Disconnect: SJB C2280c.
- Measure the resistance between driver window control switch C504-2, circuit 400 (LB/BK), harness side and SJB C2280c-20, circuit 400 (LB/BK).
- Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
- Yes : GO to A5.
- No : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
- A5 CHECK THE DRIVER POWER WINDOW SWITCH
- Remove the driver window control switch.
- Carry out the driver window control switch component test.
- Refer to the appropriate SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS for schematic and connector information.
- Did the driver window control switch pass the component test?
- Yes : Go To PINPOINT TEST E: THE DELAYED ACCESSORY RELAY IS INOPERATIVE/DOES NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY .
- No : INSTALL a new driver window control switch. TEST the system for normal operation.
