Pinpoint Test G: Loud Popping Sound When Cycling The Ignition Switch - CDX6 Audiophile

- G1 CHECK CIRCUIT 829 (WH/VT) FOR VOLTAGE
- Key in OFF position.
- Disconnect: Subwoofer Amplifier C3041.
- Measure the voltage between the amplifier C3041 pin 1, circuit 829 (WH/VT), harness side and ground.
- Is there voltage present?
- Yes : GO to G2.
- No : INSTALL a new subwoofer amplifier. REFER to AUDIO UNIT .
- G2 CHECK CIRCUIT 829 (WH/VT) FOR A SHORT TO POWER
- Key in OFF position.
- Disconnect: Audio Unit C290b.
- Measure the voltage between the amplifier C3041 pin 1, circuit 829 (WH/VT), harness side and ground.
- Is there voltage present?
- Yes : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
- No : REMOVE the audio unit and SEND it to an authorized repair facility. TEST the system for normal operation.
