Pinpoint Test G: Loud Popping Sound When Cycling The Ignition Switch - CDX6 Audiophile

  1. G1 CHECK CIRCUIT 829 (WH/VT) FOR VOLTAGE 
    • Key in OFF position.
    • Disconnect: Subwoofer Amplifier C3041.
    • Measure the voltage between the amplifier C3041 pin 1, circuit 829 (WH/VT), harness side and ground.

    • Is there voltage present? 
    1. Yes  : GO to G2.
    2. No  : INSTALL a new subwoofer amplifier. REFER to AUDIO UNIT .
  2. G2 CHECK CIRCUIT 829 (WH/VT) FOR A SHORT TO POWER 
    • Key in OFF position.
    • Disconnect: Audio Unit C290b.
    • Measure the voltage between the amplifier C3041 pin 1, circuit 829 (WH/VT), harness side and ground.

    • Is there voltage present? 
    1. Yes  : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
    2. No  : REMOVE the audio unit and SEND it to an authorized repair facility. TEST the system for normal operation.
