Preliminary Inspection

- Verify customer concern by operating system. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical or electrical damage of following:
- Loose, missing or damaged compressor drive belt.
- Loose or disconnected A/C clutch.
- Contaminated or burned A/C clutch.
- Broken or leaking refrigerant lines.
- Engine coolant leak.
- Damaged control switch(es) or climate control panel.
- Blown Battery Junction Box (BJB) fuse F26 (65-amp).
- Blown Central Junction Box (CJB) fuses F33 (20-amp), F36 (7.5-amp), F37 (10-amp), F39 (20-amp), F45 (15-amp), F47 (15-amp), F58 (10-amp) or F59 (7.5-amp).
- Blower motor inoperative.
- Compressor inoperative.
- Disconnected electrical connectors.
- Engine cooling fan inoperative.
- Damaged control switch(es) or climate control panel.
- Circuitry open or shorted.
- If an obvious cause for an observed or reported concern is found, correct cause (if possible) before proceeding. If concern is not visually evident, verify symptom. See SYMPTOM TESTS .
