Fixed Orifice Tube

Fixed orifice tube provides a restriction between high and low pressure liquid refrigerant. Orifice tube meters liquid refrigerant flow to evaporator core. Orifice tube is located in condenser-to-evaporator line. Orifice tube inlet and outlet ports have filter screens. On vehicles on equipped with auxiliary climate control system fixed orifice tube is Orange in color and has a diameter of 0.057" (1.45 mm). On vehicles equipped with auxiliary climate control fixed orifice tube is Blue in color and has a diameter of 0.067" (1.70 mm).
