Blend Door Actuator Control Rod

NOTE: This adjustment procedure should be used when blend door actuator control rod is disconnected and reconnected.
  1. Position threaded portion of blend door actuator control rod, centered in rod retainer clip, on temperature door crank. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Turn temperature control knob to FULL HEAT position. Verify that there is no looseness in linkage or temperature door crank. This means door is tight against door stop.
  2. Turn temperature control knob to FULL COOL position. Verify that there is no looseness in linkage or temperature door crank. This means door is tight against door stop. If there is looseness in linkage in full heat/cool, reposition rod one thread and repeat procedure. Close rod retainer latch on rod retainer clip when blend door actuator control rod is properly adjusted.
