Pinpoint Test H: No Operation In High Blower Setting

  1. H1 CHECK CIRCUIT 57 (BK) 
    • Key in OFF position.
    • Disconnect: Blower Motor Switch C294c.
    • Measure the resistance between the blower motor switch C294c pin 3, circuit 57 (BK) and ground

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
    1. Yes  : GO to H2.
    2. No  : REPAIR circuit 57 (BK). TEST the system for normal operation.
  2. H2 CHECK THE BLOWER MOTOR SWITCH 
    • With the blower motor switch set in the HIGH position, measure the resistance between the blower motor switch, component side, pin 1 and pin 3.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
    1. Yes  : INSTALL a new blower motor (19805). TEST the system for normal operation.
    2. No  : INSTALL a new blower motor switch (18578). TEST the system for normal operation.
