Removal and Installation

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
  2. Remove the four nuts (two per tank strap) and remove the skid plate, if equipped.

  3. Support the fuel tank.
  4. Remove the fuel tank support straps.
    • Remove the bolts.
    • Remove the support straps.

  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
