Pinpoint Test D: Transmission Control Indicator Lamp (TCIL) Does Not Illuminate

- D1 CHECK THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL INDICATOR LAMP (TCIL) CIRCUIT FOR VOLTAGE
- Key in OFF position.
- Disconnect: Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
- Connect breakout box.
- Leave the PCM disconnected.
- Key in ON position.
- Measure the voltage between test pin 79 and test pins 24 and 76 at 104-Pin Breakout Box.
- Is the voltage reading greater than 2 volts?
- Yes : INSTALL a new PCM. REMOVE 104-Pin Breakout Box. CYCLE the TCS to check the operation of the TCIL. TEST the system for normal operation.
- No
: CHECK the indicator bulb and the fuse.
If OK, REPAIR wiring between the ignition switch and test pin 79 at the PCM harness connector. TEST the system for normal operation.
