Removal and Installation

Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
Disconnect the knock sensor (KS) electrical connector.

NOTE: The KS is a one-time use item and, if serviced, a new one must be installed.

Remove the bolt and remove and discard the KS.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Install a new KS.
