Fuel Injectors
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Ford Ranger. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The fuel injector:
- Uses replaceable O-rings.
- Is electronically operated by the powertrain control module (PCM).
- Has an internal solenoid that opens a needle valve to inject fuel into the intake port, in the cylinder head.
- Atomizes the fuel as the fuel is delivered.
- Is deposit resistant.
