Water Pump - 3.0L: Removal

Drain the cooling system. For additional information, refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING - 3.0L AND 4.0L .
Remove the air cleaner outlet tube. For additional information, refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION & FILTERING .
Remove the accessory drive belt. For additional information, refer to SPECIFICATIONS & DRIVE BELT ROUTING .
Remove the fan blade and the fan shroud. For additional information, refer to COOLING FAN SHROUD - 3.0L AND 4.0L .
Remove the bolts and the water pump pulley.

Disconnect the heater hose and the wiring harness anchor.

Remove the nuts and detach the fuel tube bracket and the wiring harness bracket.

Remove the stud bolts from the A/C compressor mounting bracket.

Disconnect the lower radiator hose.

Remove the bolts and position the bracket and compressor aside.

Remove the bolts and remove the water pump.

Clean the sealing surfaces.
