Removal and Installation

Drain the cooling system. For additional information, refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING - 3.0L AND 4.0L .
Disconnect the radiator overflow hose or radiator vent hose.

Remove the cooling fan and shroud. For additional information, refer to COOLING FAN SHROUD - 3.0L AND 4.0L .
Disconnect the upper radiator hose from the radiator.

Disconnect the lower radiator hose from the radiator.

NOTE: To avoid disturbing the transmission oil cooler fittings, use a backup wrench.

If equipped, disconnect the two transmission cooler lines.
If equipped, disconnect the transmission cooler tubes at the bottom of the radiator.

Remove the bolts and tilt the radiator back and lift directly upward.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
