Radiator - 2.3L: Removal

ALL VEHICLES

Drain the cooling system. For additional information, refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING - 2.3L .

VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

NOTE: To avoid disturbing the transmission oil cooler fittings, use a back up wrench.

Disconnect the transmission cooling tubes from the radiator.

ALL VEHICLES

Disconnect the coolant overflow hose from the radiator, position the hose away from the radiator.

Disconnect the upper radiator hose.

Remove the cooling fan and shroud. For additional information, refer to COOLING FAN MOTOR AND SHROUD - 2.3L .
Disconnect the lower radiator hose.

Remove the bolts, tilt the radiator back and lift it directly upward.

Remove the three push-pins and the plastic cap from the top of the radiator channel
