Removal and Installation

WARNING: To avoid personal injury, do not unscrew the coolant pressure relief cap while the engine is operating or hot. The coolant system is under pressure; steam and hot liquid can come out forcefully when the cap is loosened slightly. Failure to follow these instructions can result in personal injury.
  1. If equipped, remove the speed control servo mounting bolt and position the servo aside.

  2. Disconnect the 3 hoses and drain the engine coolant into a suitable container.

  3. Remove the mounting bolts and remove the coolant recovery reservoir from the vehicle.

  4. NOTE: Follow the cooling system filling and bleeding procedure as outlined in this article.
  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
