Removal and Installation

  1. Drain the cooling system. For additional information, refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING - 2.3L .
  2. Disconnect the radiator upper hose and degas bottle vent hose.

  3. Remove the EGR valve heater hose.

  4. Remove the mounting bolts and dipstick tube bolt. Remove the front coolant outlet tube.

  5. NOTE: Inspect the two O-rings. Install new O-rings if necessary.
  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
