Removal and Installation

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
  2. Drain the engine oil.

  3. Remove the bolts and the oil pan.

  4. NOTE: All sealing surfaces must be cleaned prior to assembly. Use metal surface cleaner to clean the sealing surfaces.
    NOTE: Inspect integral oil pan gasket for cuts or damage that may cause leaks. Install a new gasket if necessary.
    NOTE: Fill the engine with clean engine oil.
  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
