Valve Cover LH: Removal

  1. Remove the upper intake manifold. For additional information, refer to UPPER INTAKE MANIFOLD .
  2. Disconnect the LH spark plug wire holders.

  3. Disconnect the engine control harness from the valve cover studs.

  4. Remove the three bolts and the five stud bolts.

    5. NOTE: To prevent stretching the valve cover gasket, loosen silicone gasket and sealant from the cylinder head by sliding a flat knife between the valve cover gasket and cylinder head.
  5. Remove the valve cover.
  6. Remove the valve cover gasket, if required.
