Exhaust Manifold LH: Installation

Install the exhaust manifold gasket, exhaust manifold and the bolts and nuts.
- Tighten the nuts and the bolts in the sequence shown, in two stages:
- Stage 1: Tighten to 10 N.m (8 lb-ft).
- Stage 2: Tighten to 23 N.m (17 lb-ft).

Install the upper intake manifold support brace.

NOTE: The end of the oil level indicator tube should be cleaned with metal parts cleaner before application of the sealant.

Install the oil level indicator and tube assembly.
- Coat the oil level indicator tube with silicone gasket and sealant.

Install the oil level indicator tube bracket nut.

Install the exhaust flange nuts.

Connect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
