Engine Support Insulator - LH: Removal

ALL VEHICLES

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
Remove the hood.
Remove the fan. For additional information, refer to ENGINE COOLING .
Attach the Engine Lifting Eyes.
Remove the engine support insulator nuts.

Raise the engine and support with a Three-Bar Engine Support.

4X2 VEHICLES

Remove the engine support insulator nut.

4X4 VEHICLES

CAUTION: Tape the U-joint bearing caps to prevent them from falling off the U-joints.

CAUTION: Index-mark the front axle pinion flange to the front driveshaft.

Remove and discard the bolts and straps. Secure the driveshaft out of the way.
Secure the front axle housing to a suitable jack.

Remove the three axle housing mounting bolts and lower the axle housing approximately 50 mm (2 inches).

Remove the engine support insulator nut.

Remove the engine support insulator.
