Piston - Piston Pin Connecting Rod, Press Fit: Disassembly

    NOTE: Use a suitable ring expander to remove piston rings to prevent damage.

  1. Remove the piston rings.
  2. NOTE: Take note of piston connecting rod assembly and mark the connecting rod and the piston to make sure of correct orientation during reassembly.

  3. Use a suitable piston pin tool to press the piston pin out of the piston connecting rod assembly.
  4. Remove the connecting rod from the piston.

  5. Clean and inspect the connecting rod and the piston. For additional information, refer to ENGINE SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION .
