Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the oil level indicator (6750) and the upper retaining bolt.

  2. Raise the vehicle on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
  3. Remove the oil level indicator tube (6754).
    • Remove the bolt.
    • Remove the oil level indicator tube.

  4. Remove the O-ring from the indicator ring.

  5. NOTE: Apply clean engine oil to the O-ring before installation of the indicator tube.
  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
