Pump - CIII 4.0L: Installation

- Install the power steering pump.
- Position the power steering pump.
- Install the bolts.
- Connect the power steering fluid reservoir outlet hose to the power steering pump.
- Connect the power steering fluid reservoir outlet hose to the power steering pump.
- Compress and move the power steering fluid reservoir outlet hose clamp into place.
- Using the special tool, install a new seal on the power steering pressure hose.
- Connect the power steering pressure hose to the power steering pump.
- Connect the power steering return line hose to the power steering fluid reservoir.
- Install the power steering pump pulley.
- Position the power steering pump pulley.
- Install the bolts.
- Install the drive belt. For additional information, refer to SPECIFICATIONS & DRIVE BELT ROUTING .
- Tighten the power steering pump pulley bolts.
- Install the engine cooling fan. For additional information, refer to ENGINE COOLING .
- Fill and leak check the system. For additional information, refer to STEERING SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION .
