Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the pump pulley. For additional information, refer to POWER STEERING PUMP PULLEY - 2.3L AND 3.0L .
  2. Disconnect the power steering pressure hose.
    • Remove and discard the seal.

  3. Disconnect the power steering return hose.

  4. Disconnect the power steering return line hose.
  5. Remove the bolts and the power steering pump.

  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  7. Using the special tool, install a new seal on the power steering pressure hose.

  8. Fill and leak test the system. For additional information, refer to STEERING SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION .
