CLIMATE CONTROLLED SEAT MODULE (CCSM) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) INDEX

DTC Description Source Action
B1342 ECU Is Faulted CCSM INSTALL a new CCSM.
B1358 Ignition Switch or Blower Electronics Circuit Short to Ground CCSM Go To PINPOINT TEST U .
B2477 Module Configuration Error CCSM CONFIGURE the CCSM. CLEAR the DTC. If the DTC does not clear, CONFIGURE the CCSM once again. CLEAR the DTC. If the DTC does not clear, INSTALL a new CCSM.
B2486 Climate Controlled Seat Module Voltage Out of Range CCSM Depower the SRS. Refer to Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Depowering and Repowering in the General Procedures portion of AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS . DISCONNECT driver seat side air bag C316 or passenger seat side air bag C314 of the affected seat and CONNECT restraint system diagnostic tool 418-133 or 501 -097 to the seat side air bag module body harness connector. CONNECT the battery ground cable. CHECK circuit 20-HC21 (PK/BK) (driver) or circuit 20-HC22 (PK/YE) passenger for a fault and REPAIR as needed. If okay, REFER to GENERATORS & REGULATORS .Once the repair is complete, DISCONNECT the restraint system diagnostic tool from the seat side air bag module body harness connector and CONNECT the seat side air bag module connector of the affected seat. REPOWER the SRS. REFER to AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS .
B2488 (1) Thumb-Wheel Switch Voltage Out of Range High CCSM
NOTE: Make sure CCSM C3031b (driver) or CCSM C3036b (passenger) pins 7 and 15 are open (no connect). If circuits are present at either pin location, repair the wiring concern.
CONFIGURE the CCSM. CLEAR the DTC. If the DTC does not clear, CONFIGURE the CCSM once again. CLEAR the DTC. If the DTC does not clear, INSTALL a new CCSM.
B2521 Tach Circuit Failure CCSM Go To PINPOINT TEST U .
B2729 Cushion Over-Temp Detected CCSM For driver CCSM, Go To PINPOINT TEST V . For passenger CCSM, Go To PINPOINT TEST W .
B2730 Back Over-Temp Detected CCSM For driver CCSM, Go To PINPOINT TEST V . For passenger CCSM, Go To PINPOINT TEST W .
B2731 Differential Temperature Fault CCSM For driver CCSM, Go To PINPOINT TEST V . For passenger CCSM, Go To PINPOINT TEST W .
B2792 b Heat Switch Short to Ground CCSM
NOTE: Make sure CCSM C3031b (driver) or CCSM C3036b (passenger) pin 6 are open (no connect). If circuits are present at either pin location, repair the wiring concern.
CONFIGURE the CCSM. CLEAR the DTC. If the DTC does not clear, CONFIGURE the CCSM once again. CLEAR the DTC. If the DTC does not clear, INSTALL a new CCSM.
B2793 b Cool Switch Short to Ground CCSM
NOTE: Make sure CCSM C3031b (driver) or CCSM C3036b (passenger) pin 16 is open (no connect). If circuit is present at either pin location, repair the wiring concern.
For driver CCSM, Go To PINPOINT TEST V .For passenger CCSM, Go To PINPOINT TEST W .
U2362 UBP Invalid Data Node ID CCSM REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK - LS .
(1) The presence of this DTC indicates the module is not configured correctly.
