Rear Bumper

  1. To remove individual components, only carry out the listed steps.
    COMPONENTS REMOVING STEPS

    Component Steps
    Rear bumper cover 1-6
    Rear bumper insulator 1-8
    Rear bumper beam 1-11
  2. Remove the components in the order listed in the following illustration and table.

  3. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Transfer components as necessary.

Item 6: Rear Bumper Cover Removal Note 

  1. Remove the four inner fender screws.

  2. RH side only, remove the rear bumper cover bolt and the nut located in the wheel well area.

  3. LH side only, remove the rear bumper cover bolt.

  4. From the luggage compartment, remove the rear bumper cover nuts.

  5. From inside the luggage compartment, remove the five rear bumper cover nuts.
  6. NOTE: LH shown, RH similar.

  7. From inside the luggage compartment, remove the six rear bumper cover nuts (three on each side).
  8. Disconnect the electrical connector.

Item 9: Rear Bumper Beam Removal Note 

  1. Remove the exhaust hanger bracket.
    1. Remove the bolt.
    2. Remove the bracket.
