Pinpoint Test H: The Global Open/Close Is Inoperative

  1. H1 VERIFY POWER WINDOWS ARE OPERATIONAL 
    • Operate the power windows, using the global open/close procedure.
    • Do the power windows operate correctly? 
    1. Yes  : GO to H2.
    2. No  : REFER to EXTERIOR TRIM to diagnose the inoperative windows.
  2. H2 CHECK CIRCUIT 8-AJ43 (WH/BU) FOR AN OPEN 
    • Disconnect: Roof Opening Panel Motor C920.
    • Disconnect: DDM C501d.
    • Measure the resistance between the roof opening panel motor C920-6, circuit 8-AJ43B (WH/BU), harness side and the DDM C501d-26, circuit 8-AJ43 (WH/BU), harness side.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
    1. Yes  : INSTALL a new roof opening panel motor. Refer to ROOF OPENING PANEL . REINITIALIZE the roof opening panel. REFER to ROOF OPENING PANEL MOTOR INITIALIZATION . TEST the system for normal operation.
    2. No  : REPAIR the circuit. REINITIALIZE the roof opening panel. REFER to ROOF OPENING PANEL MOTOR INITIALIZATION . TEST the system for normal operation.
