Inspection and Verification

  1. Verify the customer concern.
  2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical or electrical damage.

    • Roof opening panel glass
    • Roof opening panel
    • Roof opening panel drain hoses
    • Roof opening panel lifter assemblies
    • Roof opening panel water trough
    • Roof opening panel seal
    • Rear battery junction box (BJB) fuse 16 (20A)
    • Circuitry
    • Driver door module (DDM)
    • Loose or corroded connections
    • Roof opening panel motor
    • Roof opening panel control switch
  3. If an obvious cause for an observed or reported concern is found, correct the cause (if possible) before proceeding to the next step.
  4. Any disassembly of the roof opening panel requires reinitialization. Refer to ROOF OPENING PANEL MOTOR INITIALIZATION .
  5. If the concern is not visually evident, verify the symptom and GO to SYMPTOM CHART .
