Fuel Tank Pressure (FTP) Sensor

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Lincoln LS. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The fuel tank pressure sensor is used to measure the fuel tank pressure during the EVAP Running Loss System Leak Test. It is also used to control excessive fuel tank pressures by forcing the EVAP system to purge. The fuel tank pressure sensor is permanently mounted in the fuel vapor control valve tube assembly as it crosses over the fuel tank.
