Removal and Installation

Remove the engine appearance cover.

Remove the components in the order indicated in the following illustration and table. See Fig 1. To remove individual components only carry out the listed steps. See COMPONENT CHART .

COMPONENT CHART

Ignition coils	1-3
Spark plugs	1-4

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Item 4: Spark Plug Removal Note

Use compressed air to remove any foreign material from the spark plug well before removing the spark plugs.

Item 4: Spark Plug Installation Note

Inspect the spark plugs and adjust the spark plug gap as necessary.

Item 3: Ignition Coil Installation Note

Apply silicone dielectric compound to the inside of the ignition coil boots before installing.
