Air Cleaner Assembly

Remove the engine appearance cover.

Remove the components in the order indicated in the following illustration and table. See Fig 1. To remove individual components, carry out only the listed steps. See AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY .

AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY

Air cleaner outlet pipe	1-5
Air cleaner element	4, 6-8
Air cleaner outlet tube and cover assembly	1-7
Air cleaner assembly	4, 6, 9 and 10

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Item 1: Crankcase Vent Tube Removal Note

Remove the engine cover to unshroud the crankcase vent tube.

Item 7: Air Cleaner Cover Removal Note

Release the snaps and separate the air cleaner cover from the air cleaner tray.

Item 7: Air Cleaner Cover Installation Note

NOTE: There should be an audible click when the air cleaner cover fully engages the air filter box.

Use the alignment notches to correctly align the air cleaner cover to the air cleaner tray.
