Removal and Installation

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position on a hoist.
Remove the RH lower splash shield.
Remove the components in the order indicated in the following illustration and table.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Item 6: RH Exhaust Manifold Nuts Installation Note

NOTE: To verify the seal, the manifold bolts must be tightened to the same specification two times.

Tighten the exhaust manifold nuts in the sequence shown in two stages:
- Stage 1: Tighten to 20 N.m (15 lb-ft).
- Stage 2: Tighten to 20 N.m (15 lb-ft).
