Test Procedure

  1. D1 - CHECK CIRCUIT 8-CE9 (WH/GN) AND 9-CE9 (BN/GN) FOR SHORT A TOGETHER

    • Disconnect: VAPS Solenoid C120.
    • Measure the resistance between VAPS solenoid C120-1 circuit 8-CE9 (WH/GN) and C120-2 circuit 9-CE9 (BN/GN) harness side.
    • Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms? 
      1. Yes  : GO to D2.
      2. No  : REPAIR the circuits. TEST the system for normal operation.
  2. D2 - CHECK THE STABILITY ASSIST MODULE

    • Measure the resistance between VAPS solenoid C120-1 circuit 8-CE9 (WH/GN) and C120-2 circuit 9-CE9 (BN/GN) component side.
    • Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms? 
      1. Yes  : CARRY OUT the FEM diagnosis. Refer to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK . TEST the system for normal operation.
      2. No  : INSTALL a new VAPS solenoid. TEST the system for normal operation.
