Test Procedure

CAUTION:
Use the Flex Probe Kit for all test connections to prevent damage to the wiring terminals. Do not use standard multimeter probes.
- M1 - CHECK FOR OTHER DTCs
- Key in ON position.
- Enter the following diagnostic mode on the diagnostic tool: Clear DTCs.
- Enter the following diagnostic mode on the diagnostic tool: Retrieve DTCs.
- Is DTCC1960 retrieved?
- Yes : GO to M2.
- No
: If a different DTC is retrieved, go to ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS)/TRACTION CONTROL AND ABS/TRACTION CONTROL WITH ADVANCE TRAC®/IVD DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) INDEX .
If no DTCs are retrieved, system is OK.
- M2 - CHECK CIRCUIT 29S-CF2 (OG/BU) FOR SHORT TO POWER
- Key in OFF position.
- Disconnect: ABS Module C135.
- Measure the voltage between ABS module C135-44, circuit 29S-CF2 (OG/BU) and ground.
- Is the voltage greater than 0 volts?
- Yes : REPAIR circuit 29S-CF2 (OG/BU). CLEAR the DTC. REPEAT the self-test.
- No : INSTALL a new ABS module. REFER to ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) MODULE in this section. REPEAT the self-test.
