Brake Pedal

  1. Remove the steering column. For additional information, refer to STEERING SYSTEM .
  2. Remove the parts in the order indicated in the following illustration and table.

  3. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Item 1: Speed Control Deactivation Switch Removal Note 

  1. Remove the speed control deactivation switch. For additional information, refer to SPEED CONTROL .

Item 2: Stoplamp Switch Removal Note 

  1. Remove the stoplamp switch. For additional information, refer to EXTERIOR LIGHTING .

Item 5: Brake Pedal Pin/Brake Booster Input Shaft Removal Note 

  1. Disconnect the brake pedal pin from the brake booster input shaft.
    1. Remove the brake pedal pin clip.
    2. Disconnect the booster input shaft from the brake pedal pin.

Item 11: Adjustable Pedal Motor Removal Note 

  1. Disconnect the accelerator pedal cable from the adjustable pedal motor.
