Pinpoint Test B: DTC B2358: Adjustable Pedal Switch Failure

- B1 CHECK THE ADJUSTABLE PEDAL SWITCH RWD
- Disconnect: Adjustable Pedal Switch C2089.
- Push the adjustable pedal switch DOWN and measure the resistance between pin 3 and pin 4 component side.
- Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
- Yes : GO to B2.
- No : INSTALL a new adjustable pedal switch. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test. TEST the system for normal operation.
- B2 CHECK THE ADJUSTABLE PEDAL SWITCH FWD
- Push the adjustable pedal switch UP and measure the resistance between pin 7 and pin 4 component side.
- Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
- Yes : GO to B3.
- No : INSTALL a new adjustable pedal switch. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test. TEST the system for normal operation.
- B3 CHECK CIRCUIT 31-AL19a (BK/GN)
- Measure the resistance between C2089-4, circuit 31 -AL19a (BK/GN) and chassis ground.
- Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
- Yes : INSTALL a new adjustable pedal switch. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test. TEST the system for normal operation.
- No : REPAIR the circuit. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test. TEST the system for normal operation.
