Mounting Arm And Pivot Shaft: Removal

  1. Cycle the windshield wiper blades (17528) until they are in the straight-up position.

  2. Disconnect the battery ground cable (14301).

  3. Remove the RH and LH windshield wiper pivot arms.
    1. Pull up on the pivot arm.
    2. Pull out on the retainer tab.

  4. Remove the RH access cover.
    1. Remove the screws.
    2. Remove the access cover.

  5. Position the power distribution box aside and remove the LH access cover.
    1. Remove the screws.
    2. Remove the access cover.

  6. Reach through the RH access cover opening and unsnap the wiper motor clip from the RH mounting arm and pivot shaft.

  7. Disconnect the (A) RH windshield wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft (17566) from the (B) LH windshield wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft (17567) and move both away from the (C) windshield wiper motor (17504).

  8. Remove the RH and LH pivot nuts.

  9. Remove the RH and LH mounting arm and pivot shafts through the RH access opening.
