DTC C1095: Pump Motor Circuit Failure (1998 Models)
- Turn ignition on. If ABS pump/motor operates constantly, replace Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU). Bleed brake system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM . Using NGS tester, clear DTCs. Recheck system operation. If ABS pump/motor does not operate, go to next step.
- Drive vehicle faster than 25 MPH and observe ABS warning light. If ABS warning light illuminates, go to next step. If ABS warning light does not illuminate, system is okay. Using NGS tester, clear DTCs. Recheck system operation.
- Turn ignition off. Check 60-amp fuse No. 3 and 20-amp fuse No. 7 located in battery junction box in left side of engine compartment. If fuses are okay, go to step 5) . If a fuse is blown, go to next step.
- Remove 60-amp fuse No. 3 and 20-amp fuse No. 7 from battery junction box in left side of engine compartment. Disconnect 24-pin ABS control module connector. Using ohmmeter, measure resistance between battery junction box Red/Yellow wire terminal socket (fuse No. 3) and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Also, measure resistance between battery junction box Orange/Yellow wire terminal socket (fuse No. 7) and ground.
If either resistance measurement is greater than 10,000 ohms, replace suspect fuse. Reconnect all components. Using NGS tester, clear DTCs. Recheck system operation. If either resistance measurement is less than 10,000 ohms, repair Red/Yellow wire or Orange/Yellow wire between battery junction block and ABS control module. Reconnect all components. Using NGS tester, clear DTCs. Recheck system operation.
