Removal & Installation

- Depower the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS). For additional information, refer to AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS .
- Remove the screws and pull the center instrument panel finish panel out from the instrument panel.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the radio and center instrument panel finish panel.
- Remove the screws and remove the hood latch release handle.
- Remove the screws and remove the instrument panel steering column cover.
- Remove the instrument panel steering column opening cover reinforcement.
- Remove the screws.
- Remove the opening cover reinforcement.
- If equipped, position the column gear shift lever aside.
- Remove the screws and pull the instrument cluster finish panel out from the instrument panel.
- Disconnect the connectors and remove the cluster finish panel.
- Remove the instrument cluster screws.
- If equipped with an automatic transmission, pull out the cluster and remove the transmission range indicator.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the instrument cluster.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
