Reverse Idler Gear: Assembly

  1. Assemble the reverse idler gear.
    1. Install the reverse idler gear thrust washer.
    2. Install the reverse idler gear bearing.
    3. Install the reverse idler gear.
    4. Install the spacer.
    5. Install the reverse idler gear retaining ring.

  2. Measure the reverse idler gear end play.
    • If end play is not within specification, install a retaining ring of correct thickness.
